If the guys are always having to approach you for the date then odds are you are likely to get the man you seem to be wanting. Be assertive, because most of those “dream guys” will only ask you out if you make yourself known, not just visible. The Internet is a nice place to vent, but it sounds like you are waiting for “Mr.Right” to come knocking at your door.. if that’s the case, I wish you luck.

One other thing to keep in mind is that if you aren’t after the purely self-confident men (which may parallel to some degree with your “arrogant men” section), remember that many “good men” are now too meek to ask a woman out for fear of being branded a sexual predator, a pervert, or getting a face-full of Mace or insults. Don’t be too shy to approach a guy you like and make the first moves. It’s not that these men “aren’t men”, it’s just that they feel that being a man in public is somehow taboo or a liability. And to some degree, they seem to be right.

Perhaps men aren’t the problem, or perhaps, since I’m a man, I can’t be right. When women start to behave responsibly, perhaps they’ll meet an equal, but as long as they count themselves, a special princess, something to be won, this is a child’s game, they’ll deal with children. Look at the rise in pedophilia, amongst female school teachers, if you asked each one, she’d tell you she did nothing wrong. Selective reason, is not reason at all. Just a method, to avoid the truth. I’ve got no problems with a woman, wanting to be seen as equal, she is inherently, therefore wants the truth, but at the moment, women want special treatment, you’re as selfish as men, but avoid the labels, by saying you’re a modern woman, a feminist. Yet money is always a factor, in what man you’d date. 9 out 10 women, would date a man who was wealthy, yet they wouldn’t date that same man, broke. I’m tired of hearing how hard women have it, if you’re sexually harassed, sue! You have a leg to stand on. I’m a white male, If I had a female boss, I’d have to have pictures of her grabbing my balls, to even bring a suit of harassment. I did my previous job for 7 years accurately, and was harassed daily in the function of my job, nothing too overt, just general male bashing. I got laid off, and they kept the slow-witted russian, who couldn’t speak english. She had breasts, you see. So, bad mouth men, all that you want, but understand, your side of the species, ain’t too much to brag about. We’re all a work in progress, but either both men and women progress to be mature adults, or stay single, cause as men, we don’t like the berries getting cut off, and that seems to be most of the focus of a relationship, how a woman can dominate it. They’ve done studies, and it’s shown, women can dominate a conversation. Tell me you don’t get a God complex, from raising children. This permeates a marriage, until the man has been eroded. If we have no place, than expect an extra child to raise. If you wish equality, understand, they’re are differences in the sexes, and we must account for those. Both in behavior, and attitude. If you wish to meet “Mr. Right”, try to open your mind to the fact that no one is perfect. Except the woman of course.

In response to your article “10 men that have no chance of dating me” I wanted to point out one thing from a guy perspective:

There isn’t as big a zone between Wimps and Arrogant as some women think. Guys, just like women, can have poor self-esteem. Whether this is due to a failing on his part or merely a perceived failing it can cause a guy to seem like a wimp, even if he is confident about many other successes in his life. Then again the deciding factor between a confident man and an arrogant one can often be up to the woman who observes him. While there are some men all women will agree are arrogant, some arrogance is attractive to some women. And ironically, sometimes it is the arrogant men who have the worst self-esteem.

Trying to be confident is difficult for some guys, especially those who have had bad luck dating, have hangups about their looks, or who feel overwhelmed by the beauty or charisma of the woman to whom they are speaking. Does that make these men unworthy of dating? If you choose not to that’s your prerogative. I like to think that some women will date men who don’t have great confidence. Just the way that some men will date women that have esteem issues of their own.

But who am I to judge?

Wow, where to start. This is quite a comprehensive list. I think this covers every male of the human species.

No unemployed men…but no workaholics either? That is a very thin (and dangerous) line to draw. So your ideal man is just: a guy with an ordinary job. What if he has to do some extra work once in a while? Oh, you have no problem with him doing overtime because it’s a fatter paycheck, but heaven forbid that he not be able to come home in time for dinner on the night that your parents are visiting. Let me guess: the “workaholism” is only a problem on the days and nights that you want to go shopping.

No wimps or momma’s boys…but no self-centered or arrogant men either? Another great example of judging on the extremes. (See above.) You do realize that this double-standard of grading leaves you with nothing but boring men, don’t you? Of course you do.

No porn fans…but no liars? That’s just proof you don’t understand men at all. All men enjoy porn. If you chicks can’t stand it, then we will lie to you about it, and surf and download when you aren’t around, and put passwords or innocent names on our folders. Simple. Men who do not enjoy looking at women…fall into the category of gay. So what do you do if the guy of your dreams tells you that he’s never giving up porn? (Hey, at least he’s honest about it.)

And if you are going to slam on wife-beaters (which is something that I agree is totally wrong, by the way) then, by the same token, no woman who punches, slaps, pinches, hits, kicks, or throws objects at men is worth dating, either. Perhaps you don’t do this…and I am not accusing any specific female of being abusive towards men. But it deserves a mention because so many women think that violence towards men is somehow justified. If my wife ever raises her hand against me, she’s going to spend that night in jail explaining herself to a judge and some cops. So please keep that in mind. If you can’t stand men who hold double standards, then please believe that the converse is true as well: lots of us men hate women who hold double standards.

If you can’t accept someone for who they are, then you aren’t worth dating either.
Judge less you want to be judged. Not everybody is perfect.
