Stop lying about the books you read
Don’t try to impress us with lies
Men just seem to have a problem with “who’s smarter?”! When dating a woman, you’re just obsessed about being the smart one in the couple! I think that you can’t handle the fact that sometimes women can be smarter than you! You instantly feel inferior, and start having complexes. So, then you start talking about your knowledge, about all the complicated books that you pretend you’ve read.
But it’s funny, when we ask you to tell us about the impression on the book, you just can’t answer. And you start changing the conversation topic. Stop doing that! You’re just making a fool of yourself! This is not about who’s who! It’s about having a decent true conversation with your on line date. It’s not a competition!
You’re obsessed by the idea of being the macho, the smartest!
It’s ok if you’re trying to improve yourself, expand your knowledge. But don’t lie about the books you read. At least, you can tell her that you’ve heard of a great book, and you’re suggesting that you should both read it, and then discuss it. Share each other’s opinions on something that just became a mutual subject. It’s more stimulating, not to mention fun! We very much appreciate a good sense of humor!
